Yogaseads offers you the opportunity to Explore & Learn more about YOGA!
Once a month we offer Yoga Workshop with a specific topic where you can dive into anatomical knowledge, connecting the dots and improve your own understanding of the asana’s and your yoga practice.
Every workshop includes an introduction of the topic, meditation & pranayama, a yoga sequence designed around the topic, theory & physical practice for a deeper understanding.
And off course you can ask all the questions you have. Our goal is to support your yoga practice and give your more tools to improve your own practice.
April 14 th : Hips
The activities and stresses of our daily lives can often lead to tight & reduced range of motion in our hips. The hip joint is a ball-and-socket joint, which means that it’s designed to have a big range of motion (like the shoulder joint). If our joints are designed this way then it is for a reason: because we need it to keep going through life and age in a gracious way. In this workshop we will work on stabilising and increasing mobility in all of the movements of the hips, including the IT bands, glutes, psoas, hamstrings and quads. While the workshop will focus more on the physical aspects of hip openers you may experience some emotional release. It is said that hips is where we store emotion - often the kind we keep hidden deep down like anger, anxiety, sadness and frustration. Working on the deep tissues in hip opening asanas can release both physical and emotional tension.
