Silent Meditation & Yoga Weekend Retreat
Step away from daily life and reconnect with stillness.
Through Buddhist mindfulness meditation, yoga, dhamma talks, walking meditation, eating meditation & mindful walking in nature you are guided to touch the stillness that is always here — quiet, steady, awake. An opportunity to cultivate wisdom, clarity, and inner freedom, held in a peaceful setting. Away from the rush of the world, in a farmhouse surrounded by nature, we practice resting deeply and seeing clearly.
Mindfulness, Insight, and Embodied Presence
In the spirit of the ancient traditions, we gather for a weekend of noble silence, reflection, and practice.
Yoga and the Dhamma — Two Rivers, One Ocean
The teachings of Yoga and the Buddha’s Dhamma share a common ground:
Both offer a way of release from suffering, a return to wholeness through direct experience.
In this retreat, we explore how mindful movement, embodied presence, breath awareness, and meditative stillness work together to cultivate greater calm, clarity, and connection.
The Gift of Silence
Silence is a profound teacher. Silence helps us to slow down, listen deeply, and see more clearly.
By letting go of outside noise, we meet ourselves with more honesty, kindness, and patience. This weekend we arrive, meet eachother, have an openings ritual & practice and connect during a shared dinner (no silence yet). After dinner, Noble Silence starts - evening practice will follow. On Monday after the morning practice we break the silence and have breakfast together and will leave to our daily lifes inspired and nourished.
Dopamine Detox – No Distractions
In this weekend, we invite you into a state of true rest by stepping away from constant stimulation. No phone, no reading, no writing (besides during dhamma talks if preferred), nothing to do. By temporarily reducing external input, we allow the nervous system to reset and the mind to settle.
This 'dopamine detox' isn’t about going without, but about reclaiming your attention. Without reaching for the next notification, idea, or task, you begin to experience the richness of the present moment. It’s a chance to slow down, restore balance, and reconnect with yourself in stillness
The Path of Meditation
Our sitting practice draws on two essential trainings:
Shamatha (calm abiding): the art of steadying the mind through gentle, continuous attention.
Vipassana (clear seeing): the cultivation of insight into the impermanent, interconnected nature of life.
Through these practices, we nurture clarity, compassion, and a deeper trust in the unfolding of each moment.
Mindful Walking — Meditation in Motion
Our walking practices will be Mindful Walking & Walking Meditiation. The same but slighty different in pase. Walking meditation extends the field of mindfulness from the stillness of sitting into the flow of daily life. With each step, we learn to walk gently upon the earth, aware of breath, body, and presence.
Eating Meditation - Nourishment in Stillness
In this retreat, we also practice Eating Meditation: a simple yet profound way to bring mindfulness into everyday life. By slowing down and engaging all the senses, we learn to eat with full presence—tasting, smelling, feeling, and truly receiving our food. This practice invites us to cultivate gratitude, improve digestion, and become more aware of our habits around food.
The Silent Retreat
This is not a holiday.
It’s an immersive practice weekend. Expect a full schedule, with activities from the morning bell at 7:00 AM until the evening bell at 9:00 PM. Throughout the weekend, you will have 1.5 hours of free time each day to relax and integrate the practices
This rhythm is designed to support your practice and help you meet what needs to be met. You’ll go home with something more meaningful than just rest.
